OUR STORY
GY & Sons Group Holdings came into being as a firm founded upon the dreams of one man, Gamal Younus. The company was established in a bright day of the late 2010s with the main office in the State of Qatar to aid the countries all over the globe and its people in their growth towards a better future. With a drive to offer the best, we brought in the best workforce from around the globe all the while ensuring employment to the local community. Yes, we were certain that building up from the roots with a strong foundation of local support along with the skills from all around the world would definitely work wonders.
The initial years of struggle and uncertainty gave way to a steady growth of the company. By 2019 we have come to the top list of the best holdings company in the world. With public and private contracts, we aim at a sustainable development and growth of humanity. Disciplined, patient and punctual, we have made our way into almost every industry – be it education, health, hospitality, tourism or defence – in the country. Metals & Minerals
We build a global connectivity between miners, smelters and refined metal fabricators. We offer economic assistance through offtake agreements, structured finance and tolling models. Moreover, we develop downstream outlets that underpin volume growth. As the market leader in copper, zinc, lead and nickel concentrates, we create a coherent supply chain for our customers. In addition to this, we focus on building volume and meeting the varying producers and end-users of metal concentrates. We are an upcoming leader for a majority of refined metals: our comprehensive knowledge to source metals swiftly and cost-effectively from around the world has also aided us to trade iron ore products. We are one of the two truly global operators in thermal coal. We source coking coal for global iron and steel producers and have a strong presence in coke and pet coke. Power & Renewable Energy
We are establishing an active presence primarily in US and European markets by trading key derivative contracts.
