Transforming Raw Cashew Production into Refined Global Wealth
Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire) is the world's top producer of raw cashew nuts (RCN), yielding over 1 million metric tons annually. Historically, over 80% of these raw cashews were exported unprocessed to Asia, stripping the nation of massive downstream economic value, industrial employment, and foreign exchange returns.
GY & Sons Holding has established a modern, fully integrated Cashew Processing & Kernel Refining Complex in Ivory Coast's prime cashew belt. By procuring directly from local smallholders and farming cooperatives at fair farm-gate prices, we process 100% of raw nuts domestically into premium whole kernels (WW180, WW240, WW320), roasted snack lines, and industrial cashew derivatives.
Our refined cashew products are vacuum-packed under stringent international food safety standards (ISO 22000, HACCP, Halal) and dispatched directly to major distribution channels across GCC countries (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain), retaining critical foreign exchange earnings inside Ivory Coast.
Direct Local Farmer Sourcing
Eliminating predatory middleman networks by contracting over 18,000 smallholder cashew farmers across Bouaké, Korhogo, and Bondoukou with guaranteed floor prices and agricultural training.
Automated Shelling & Color Sorting
Utilizing high-speed steam calibrators, mechanical dekernelers, and laser optical sorters to achieve 98%+ whole kernel recovery with zero chemical alteration.
Direct GCC Export Corridor
Strategic logistics partnership with San-Pédro and Abidjan ports to supply wholesale snack packers, luxury confectioners, and retail supermarket chains across the Gulf Cooperation Council.
From Ivorian Orchards to GCC Gourmet Tables
Explore our 4-step precision industrial process converting raw cashews into vacuum-packed premium kernels.
Direct Procurement, Calibrating & Steam Conditioning
Raw cashew nuts (RCN) harvested from local smallholder farms are delivered to our regional aggregation centers. After quality inspection for outturn yield (KOR) and moisture testing, RCN are cleaned, size-calibrated, and passed through pressurized steam cookers to soften the tough outer shell and loosen the inner kernel without scorching.
Mechanical Shelling & CNSL Byproduct Recovery
Conditioned nuts enter high-precision automatic shelling lines where mechanical blades crack the outer shell without fracturing the kernel. The corrosive Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL) is extracted as a valuable industrial byproduct used in friction dust, paints, and bio-resins, while uncracked nuts are separated for secondary pass.
Gentle Borma Drying, Peeling & Laser Sorting
Kernels undergo low-temperature thermal conditioning in Borma dryers to loosen the papery testa skin. Automated air-jet peelers remove the skin cleanly. Kernels then pass through high-resolution camera color sorters and grading belts to accurately classify whole kernels into WW180 (Jumbo), WW240, WW320, and dessert splits.
Dry Roasting, Seasoning & GCC Vacuum Sealed Dispatch
Selected kernel grades proceed to continuous hot-air dry roasters for premium retail snack lines, or remain unroasted for wholesale culinary distributors. Finished kernels undergo metal detection, carbon dioxide nitrogen-flushing, and vacuum sealing in 25lb / 50lb flexible foil bags, preventing oxidation and guaranteeing 24-month shelf life for shipment to Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Doha.

Advanced Processing & Refining Technology
High-Yield Steam Calibrators
Continuous steam pressure cookers that calibrate raw nuts by size, loosening the tough outer shell while preserving pristine kernel color and texture.
Laser Color & Defect Sorters
Full-spectrum optical sorting cameras inspecting 30,000 kernels per minute, separating kernels by grade (WW180 to WW450) and ejecting micro-defects.
CNSL Bio-Resin Extraction
Secondary extraction units capturing Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL), converting agricultural byproduct into high-margin industrial resins and bio-fuels.
Modified Atmosphere Vacuum Packaging
Automated nitrogen gas-flushing and vacuum sealing machines protecting packed kernels against moisture, infestation, and rancidity during maritime transit.
Empowering Ivorian Farmers & Driving Industrialization
Farmer Income Optimization
By establishing direct purchasing centers in rural cashew farming zones, GY & Sons guarantees transparent weighing, immediate digital payment, and premium prices above official floor tariffs, boosting local farm household incomes by 35%.
Gender Inclusion & Skills Development
Our refining facility employs over 2,100 women in skilled kernel grading, quality control, and food safety management, offering healthcare coverage, onsite childcare, and technical vocational certification.
Foreign Exchange & Value Retention
Retaining 100% of processing inside Ivory Coast multiplies export value by 3.5x compared to raw nut export. All export proceeds from GCC buyers are repatriated through Ivorian banking channels.
Zero-Waste Circular Economy
Cashew shells are incinerated in eco-biomass boilers to generate green steam for factory operations, while extracted CNSL oil is sold to global industrial chemical manufacturers.
Ivory Coast to GCC Supply Chain Linkage
