The Jeddah Regional Stormwater Drainage & Emergency Flood Protection Project represents one of the most remarkable rapid-response civil engineering operations in the Middle East. Following severe flash flooding events in the Jeddah metropolitan region, the Saudi Arabian government mandated an urgent, high-priority infrastructure emergency contract to construct new regional stormwater drainage networks and overhaul existing culvert channels to protect human lives and urban property.
Awarded under contract to lead contractor NESMA & PARTNERS Contracting Ltd. Co., all physical civil execution, trench excavation, concrete box culvert construction, and pipeline installation were undertaken by GY & Sons Holding in joint venture with strategic international engineering partners (KlasTeknik Consortia). The entire scope was successfully completed in a record 110 calendar days under strict sovereign supervision.
