Export Corridors: GCC, Southern Africa & European Markets
Strategic Value Creation

Unlocking National Wealth from Malawi's Tobacco Abundance

Tobacco is Malawi’s primary cash crop, accounting for a major share of national agricultural output. However, raw unstripped tobacco leaves are historically exported with minimal local value addition. Furthermore, Malawi currently has no domestic cigarette manufacturing facility, forcing the country to import finished consumer tobacco products.

GY & Sons Holding is establishing an operational **Small-Scale Tobacco Processing Unit** focused on green leaf threshing (GLT), precision grading, solar curing enhancement, and moisture-controlled aging. As part of our **future growth plan**, we intend to launch Malawi's pioneer cigarette manufacturing plant to process raw tobacco entirely in-country, keeping the entire value chain in Malawi and returning substantial Forex back to the nation.
